This dip was originally created by a family member of mine, let's call him Len. It's great for parties, pairs well with thick potato chips and veggies. A perfect alternative to the common french onion and ranch dips.
- 16 oz sour cream
- 16 oz cottage cheese (preferably with chives)
- 1.5 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp dehydrated onions
- 1 Tbsp dehydrated dill
Mix all ingredients, preferably the night before to let the onion and dill hydrate and absorb moisture.
It can be hard to taste test because the onion and dill flavor will strengthen. The color should be visible, very sightly, red from the seasoned salt. Dill should be visible throughout the mixture, enough to get a little with every chip.
If you use fresh drill, add a bit less as the flavor is strong. The mixture might end up more watery, but flavor will be good.
